Intro and Sketchbooks/Paper

Hey everybody! This blog is all about tips and tricks to make your drawings look your very best.  Everyone's style is different and unique, so try to stick with a the type of style you like. I use some of the most basic materials to draw, like a Clear Point mechanical pencil and a couple of Copics and some Micron Pens. I honestly don't use much color in my drawings, but I don't know, do you guys like to add color?

Here are some pictures of the markers and pens I use:

Make sure to always keep one sketchbook for doodling and one for finished drawings. My sketchbook is all jumbled with doodles and finished drawings. That way, when you look back at your drawings, there won't be a huge scribble behind the page of your favorite drawing. I don't like to buy sketchbooks for doodles, so I just use a notebook or some loose paper. Also, If you own Copics, make sure to buy a sketchbook with paper that can hold all of the ink. I usually use Canson mix media sketchbook for ink and marker. But you can use whatever paper you like. The artist loft sketchbooks have good paper as well, but I don't know how good they are with markers and ink. They maybe just as good with the Canson mix media sketchbooks. I would suggest the artist loft sketchbook for pencil drawings because the paper has pretty good texture for sketches.

  1. Nice blog topic I think it is cool how you talk about materials and stuff that you use for drawing then tell other people which is the best materials to use.
